Part of the upgrade of the roof terrace was to add a fountain on the roof terrace. Not only as a decorative piece but also to get the relaxing sound of streaming water when we’re on the terrace. Since we couldn’t find the ideal one ready made in a store, we went for one specifically made by an artisan. Not as big a project as the pool mosaic but still big enough to have it custom built on the terrace. Finding the right design wasn’t easy. Here are some of the initial fountains we saw for inspiration on Pinterest:
Initially we found a ready built fountain that we we’re happy with. After 6 guys carried the fountain upstairs and we saw the placement on the terrace it didn’t work out. It was too small and too green. So we needed to revise our plans.
So we went back to the artisan and we found the following design which we liked. And we told him to start working on this.
Of course, we needed to pick the right colors of the tiles.
Since the fountain was going to be a lot bigger then the initial one we carried up, it had to be created in pieces and then assembled on the roof terrace. Here’s the end result.
